Day 9 takes us to the stunning Isle of Skye, where we’ll explore some of the island’s most iconic sights. Our first stop is the Talisker Distillery, the only distillery on the island, where we’ll learn about their unique whisky-making process and enjoy a tasting. Next, we’ll visit the enchanting Fairy Pools, known for their crystal-clear waters and picturesque waterfalls, before heading to the serene Brides Veil Falls for more natural beauty.
We’ll also explore the fascinating Skye Museum of Island Life, where we’ll step back in time to see how people on the island lived centuries ago. Our journey continues with a visit to Dunvegan Castle & Gardens, the ancestral home of Clan MacLeod, followed by the dramatic landscapes of the Quiraing and the iconic rock formation known as the Old Man of Storr.
Finally, we’ll stop by the charming Protree Village, a picturesque coastal town, before making our way back to Fort William for another night at the cozy Nevis Bank Inn & Brown’s Restaurant.
