Day 1
Wednesday, October 9th, 2024
Day 1, we’ll begin our exciting adventure as we head to Scotland! Everyone will be departing from different locations and flights, but the anticipation is in the air as we embark on this journey. Make sure to have your essentials like passports, flight details, and snacks ready, and give yourself plenty of time at the airport. It’s all about smooth travels and safe flights as we get ready to meet in Scotland.
Day 2
Thursday, October 10th, 2024
On Day 2, we’ll be exploring Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city, known for its rich culture, history, and vibrant atmosphere. You’ll have the chance to visit key landmarks like George Square, Glasgow Cathedral, and the historic Necropolis. Dive into the city’s hidden gems and enjoy its world-class shopping and museums. We’ll wrap up the day by staying at the Leonardo Hotel, where we can relax after a full day of discovery.
Day 3
Friday, October 11th, 2024
Day 3, we will be exploring the scenic and historic region of Ayrshire, known for its ties to Robert Burns and its beautiful landscapes. We’ll visit landmarks like Ayr, the birthplace of Burns, Dailly Parish Church, and the coastal charm of Girvan Beach and Harbor. It’s a day filled with history, culture, and stunning views as we continue our Scottish adventure
Day 4
Saturday, October 12th, 2024
Day 4, Our first day in Edinburgh, we will be exploring the city and visiting some of its most iconic landmarks. Highlights include the Edinburgh Underground, the mystical Rosslyn Chapel, the historic Edinburgh Castle, and the beautiful Princes Street Gardens. You’ll also have time to stroll through the Royal Botanic Garden and immerse yourself in the history and culture at the National Museum of Scotland.
Day 5
Sunday, October 13th, 2024
Day 5, our second day in Edinburgh, we will continue exploring the city with a visit to the historic Old Town and the bustling Royal Mile, as well as iconic landmarks like St. Gile’s Cathedral and Holyrood Palace & Abbey. You’ll also have the option to hike up Arthur’s Seat, discover the magic of the Wizarding World of Edinburgh, and explore Greyfriars Kirkyard. Finally, dive into some local flavors at the Scotch Whisky Experience and the Edinburgh Gin Distillery.
Day 6
Monday, October 14th, 2024
Day 6 takes us to St. Andrews, where we’ll explore the historic castle and cathedral ruins, as well as the world-famous St. Andrews Golf Course. While some of the group will play a round on the iconic Old Course, others will continue on to The Kelpies at The Helix—two towering sculptures symbolizing Scotland’s industrial past. In Stirling, we’ll visit the Old Town Jail, Stirling Bridge, and the National Wallace Monument before concluding our day in Perth at the Black Watch Castle & Museum. The evening wraps up with a special Scottish dinner we previously voted on, ending the day with local flavor and camaraderie.
Day 7
Tuesday, October 15th, 2024
Day 7 starts in Dundee with a visit to the stunning Dunnottar Castle and the nearby cliffs, followed by a trip to Pitlochry’s Blair Castle & Gardens and the breathtaking Queens View. In the afternoon, we’ll dive into Scotland’s whisky heritage with visits to the Glenlivet, Glenfiddich, and Glen Moray distilleries. The day wraps up in Inverness with a stay at the Kingsmill Hotel, offering a relaxing end to an exciting day of sightseeing and whisky tasting.
Day 8
Wednesday, October 16th, 2024
On Day 8, we’ll journey from Inverness to Fort William, starting with a glimpse of the Jacobite Steam Train, followed by visits to Inverness Castle, the Botanical Gardens, and the historic Culloden Battlefield & Monument. Afterward, we’ll explore Urquhart Castle and take a scenic Loch Ness Cruise. In the afternoon, we’ll stop at Leaky’s Bookshop and enjoy some whisky tasting at Glenfiddich, before ending the day with a stay at the Nevis Bank Inn & Brown’s Restaurant in Fort William.
Day 9
Thursday, October 17th, 2024
On Day 9, we’ll explore the Isle of Skye, starting with a visit to Talisker Distillery, followed by the Fairy Pools, Brides Veil Falls, and the Skye Museum of Island Life. We’ll continue to Dunvegan Castle & Gardens and take in the dramatic landscapes of the Quiraing and the Old Man of Storr, before ending the day in Protree Village. We’ll return to Fort William for another relaxing night at Nevis Bank Inn & Brown’s Restaurant.
Day 10
Friday, October 18th, 2024
Day 10 takes us through the stunning landscapes of Loch Lomond, with visits to the Meeting of the Waters, Glencoe Waterfall, and the village of Luss. We’ll explore the Fairy Trail and the historic Old Lawer’s Castle & Village before ending the day in Glasgow at Leonardo Hotel.
Day 11
Saturday, October 19th, 2024
Day 11 is all about exploring Glasgow, with everyone free to choose what interests them most. Options include Dumbarton Castle, the Rennie MacIntosh Willow Tree Room, the Museum of Piping, Hard Rock Cafe, the Glasgow Botanical Gardens, the Glasgow Science Center, Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, and more. Enjoy shopping, dining, and wandering through the vibrant Buchanan Street and Glasgow’s West End.
